Welcome to Owens Dental, where we are committed to providing high-quality, life-changing dentistry with honesty and integrity. We genuinely care for the well-being of each person in our patient family and always treat patients as we would like to be treated.
We are focused on you. We make it a priority to get to know each patient personally so we can provide the best care tailored to each patient’s unique situation. We strive to help patients feel comfortable and at home by offering blankets, pillows, water bottles and even TV with headphones so that patients can relax during their dental visit.
Our office is constantly updating and staying up-to-date with technology so that we can provide you with the best possible service. Some of our newer technological investments are listed below, along with the benefit that they provide to you, the patient. Advancements in technology not only allow us to provide you with more ideal treatment, but they also help our clinical team detect and diagnose many issues before they become a problem.
No more uncomfortable and messy impressions; the digital workflow has come to Owens Dental! The best-in-class 3Shape TRIOS intra-oral scanner is easy to use and features powerful technology that enables us to create 3D renderings of patients’ teeth and occlusion. This high-tech AI-driven tool is non-invasive and comfortable for patients.
The TRIOS scanner uses cutting-edge optical technology to capture highly accurate 3D digital impressions of the patient’s teeth and oral structures in seconds. The 3D digital rendering allows our doctors to custom-design your treatment case, which can then be sent directly to our labs. The scanner facilitates efficient communication with our dental laboratories, reducing turnaround time for dental restorations and ensuring accurate fit and customization.
For patients interested in cosmetics or orthodontics, our doctors can share the custom design with you, so that we can collaboratively decide on the ideal result for your individual case, and achieve your best smile!
At Owens Dental, we make it a priority to invest in the latest technology so that we can provide the best care possible. We are very excited to announce our latest addition: a Carestream Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) machine. This state-of-the-art machine is considered to be safe and emits significantly less radiation than a traditional “CT” scan. This allows us to take extra-oral 3-dimensional images! These clear images show both hard and soft tissues so our doctors can see your teeth, jaws, nerves, airway, and sinus cavities. This new technology enhances our doctors’ diagnostic and treatment capabilities as it allows them to see abnormalities as well as underlying or potential issues. We are most excited to have this technology to aid with dental implant placement, full-mouth restorations, oral surgery, and root canal therapy (endodontics).
Digital X-rays are the most important technology that our doctors use to view and determine your oral health. Using state-of-the-art technology, digital X-rays allow us to get a clear, detailed picture of your teeth, bones, and joints. Digital X-rays are low-radiation, high quality, and instantaneous.
Using an intraoral camera, we are able to easily and comfortably take images of your teeth and your mouth. The intraoral camera is a small video camera on a wand that we guide over and around your teeth to non-invasively capture images. These images are displayed on a screen in each operatory so that our clinical team can show you exactly what is going on in your mouth. A unique feature of the intraoral camera is the auto fluorescence technology which gives the ability to detect a cavity at different stages of its development thus allowing the doctors to determine the most adequate treatment.
The Cavitron Ultrasonic Scaler has been proven as the most effective approach to achieving a thorough cleaning while maintaining oral comfort. The high vibrational energy crushes and removes debris in the mouth, disrupting bacterial cells and biofilm. The therapeutic washing and flushing of the periodontal pocket and root surface removes deposits effectively and promotes overall gum health.
