Owens Dental Announcement

Wow, it’s still early in 2019 and we already have a big change to announce… we regret that Dr. Corey Cook has been deployed to the East Coast to work on an Air Force Base there and he and his family are moving out of state. We have enjoyed his time here and are so sad to see him go, but we are excited to welcome Dr. Brad Packer to the team! Dr. Packer is originally from Minnesota, but he and his family love living here in Colorado. He brings 4 years of experience as a general dentist to our team and will be seeing patients on Tuesdays and Fridays, with more days to be added in the near future. Dr. Packer started with us last Friday and we have already received compliments from patients about his compassionate nature and gentle care. We are so glad to welcome to him to the Owens Dental Team!

Come celebrate the start of spring at the 4^th annual Spring Equinox Half Marathon & 4 Mile Run! Course starts and ends at the brewery and is on a mix of paved & dirt country roads.

Looking ahead: Horsetooth Half Marathon is coming up! Start your training and get ready for Fort Collins’ favorite half marathon, coming up on April 14^th. If you’re interested in joining some training runs for this half marathon!

Mark your calendars with these events! On Wednesday, January 10th, come hear author Bryn Greenwood talk about her new novel, All the Ugly and Beautiful Things, in what is sure to be “beautiful” evening of literary insight. Or, if true stories of wild drama in our own backyard are more your style, come listen to Ian Neligh discuss his new nonfiction work, Gold! Madness, Murder and Mayhem in the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, January 13th. Finally, on Friday, January 26th, first-time author Dorje Dolma will be visiting Fort Collins to talk about her memoir, Yak Girl, on her life in Nepal.

It may seem hard to believe that Christmas is only 25 days away, especially with this warm, dry weather we’ve been having. But don’t worry, we are here to help! We’ve found some local events that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

One last reminder, we will be moving our office over the holidays! We will close on December 22nd and re-open on January 8th at 3506 Lochwood Drive. Garden of Lights: a Northern Colorado Holiday Tradition

At the Gardens on Spring Creek

Come stroll through an enchanted forest as your favorite Fort Collins garden is transformed for the holiday season. Open every day from December 1st to January 7th, the garden offers special opportunities to visit with Santa and enjoy seasonal crafts on the weekends. Oh, what fun it is to raise funds for a great cause! The Arthritis Foundation hosts this annual run to bring awareness to research for a condition affecting millions of Americans. Owens Dental Newsletter – November 2017

Fort Collins & Northern Colorado

 

We’re not sure, but we wanted to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving, anyway. It’s hard to believe we’re already cruising toward the end of the year — and that brings us to our first bit of news: we’re moving!

That’s right — we will be closing our Harmony Road location when we head out for Christmas break on December 22nd, and we will reopen on January 8, 2018, in our new location:

Cue the balloons; we’re excited. Next month, we’ll tell you more about what you can expect in our new space, but until then, make sure you note our new office along with all of your upcoming appointments. Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony: Old Town Fort Collins

Friday, November 3rd, 5:30-7pm

Come welcome the return of Fort Collins’ sparkling treetop lights, which will bedeck Old Town through Valentine’s Day. The holiday lighting celebration begins at 5:30 on the corner of College and Oak, with free hot chocolate and live jazz. After the illumination ceremony, stick around for the First Friday Gallery Walk which will take place from 6-9pm. Enjoy art and refreshments at the participating galleries and stores.

 

 

A Conversation with John Fielder: Colorado State University, Lory Student Center Theatre

Thursday, November 16th, 7-9pm

Join Colorado photographer John Fielder for a lively discussion when he visits CSU on November 16th. A seasoned documenter of both Colorado’s prized mountaintops and its best-kept secrets, as well as the recipient of multiple awards for his art, he is sure to treat the community to a wonderful evening! The Fort Collins Foodie Walk: Old Town Fort Collins
